Motor industry

The creation, in 2005, of the Normandy Motor Valley Competitiveness Cluster and its subsequent merger with the Paris-based cluster, Vestapolis, have given way to the Competitiveness Cluster Mov'eo: the motor industry is a key sector for Normandy's economy.

All branches considered, the sector involves no less than 200,000 indirect jobs, including several thousands of workers among manufacturers, motor vehicle equipment manufacturers and suppliers: Renault, PSA Peugeot-Citroën, Faurecia, Valéo, Donaldson... The region manufactures 15% of French motor vehicles.
