Agrifood industry

Benefiting from excellent natural and climatic conditions, Normandy is logically one of France's major agricultural regions. Crop cultivation and livestock breeding supply the food processing industry, the region's main activity being dairy products. As the region's first industrial employment sector (with 36,000 salaried workers), the agrifood industry represents 14% of Normandy's industrial employment market. Not forgetting Normandy's apple orchards providing 60% of France's total cider apple production!
